Using the refpoints (named entity) endpoint

This page documents and demonstrates the REST interface to one of beingmeta's web services. The refpoints service uses natural language analysis to identify significant named entities and to provide additional information from beingmeta's broad-coverage knowledge base. (The term "refpoints" was coined in the early 90s by Simson Garfinkel at the MIT Media Laboratory.)

The form below describes and demonstrates the arguments to the service (in the left hand column) and possible values (in the right hand column). Clicking the button in the upper left of the form will generate a request and send it to beingmeta's server.
